Y’all just don’t know how excited I am. That’s right; I am excited enough to break out the “y’all” and if you knew this frog at all, you’d know that is a pretty big deal. So what has my restaurant equipment loving heart all aflutter? Well, this:
We happen to have come across a pretty serious find here at One Fat Frog.
First off, it’s a Roundup. A lot of big name chain restaurants trust roundup, and in fact, this came out of such a place. I can’t get into specifics, but think McDonalds, Burger King, and the like. I know what you’re thinking, ‘what the heck this Transformer looking commercial appliance and what does it do?’
Well, let me break it down for all you frogs and frogettes. [insert beatboxing]
This is a Roundup ES-1200, or in laymen’s terms (you know, the words this frog understands), it is an egg steamer.
‘But One Fat Frog, what’s so great about an egg steamer?’ Well, let me tell you! I’m just a frog with a blog, so take everything I say with a grain of salt, but this baby tadpole is electric, which means you probably won’t need a hood (probably)!
But the best part is that the cook time on 10 eggs, is only 2 minutes! So you can make upwards of 120-200 eggs in an hour! AND IT EVEN HEATS BACON! Who doesn’t like bacon? Even people who don’t eat bacon like to smell bacon, right? Right?? Okay, maybe I’m just exaggerating, but I could seriously go ham on some bacon (ha-ha, see what I did there?) Puns aside, this is one impressive piece of restaurant equipment.
So who would use this in their heavy duty kitchen? Well, that’s the best part! This would totally work well in a food truck! If you do heavy business for breakfast, you would knock out some serious breakfast sandwiches with this, AND if you want a quick, clean way to make breakfast sandwiches with bacon and eggs in your food truck, then this is for you! It takes up minimal food truck or restaurant kitchen space, is easy to clean, and produces crazy amounts of product. The turnaround time for a breakfast sandwich is less than three minutes! Just cook your eggs, heat your bacon, toast your bread (on another piece of equipment that we will discuss at another time), and knock those sandwiches out!
You’ll get consistent, fast, easy, and affordable breakfast sandwiches that you can serve in your food truck, restaurant, coffee shop, café, or deli! What isn’t there to love?
